About the performance
Mandragora circus is a wordless theatre and circus performance for all the audiences.
Two clowns tell a story where comedy, love and dialog are visible without words. Circus
stunt and music give shape to one dramatic work where circus becomes poetry.
Aerial acrobatics, juggling and unconventional instruments weave the acts of this play
where only the gesture allow the audience imagine situations, conflicts and solutions in
a show delicate, with a touch of comedy and an attractive story where children and
adults have fun alike.
About the company
Mandragora Circo is an independent theatre company from the city of Trelew, Chubut.
Patagonia, Argentina, formed by Mariana Silva and Juan Cruz Bracamonte in 2002.
In the year 2003 the company premiered the play "Mandragora Circus" a wordless
performance that combines different kind of artistic expression.
Since the premiere of this performance, in 2003​, they started to tour presenting it in
theatres and Festivals in the patagonia region and others cities, touring in Argentina
from south to north during 8 years.
In 2010 ​the company started a tour, driving the Americas from Patagonia to Alaska. In
2014​ they arrived in Alaska, United States after having driven the continent in 4 years of
continuous performances in majors festivals and theatres of 18 countries in south,
central and north america.
In 2015​ the tours continues for Mandragora Circus with performances in Argentina,
visiting several regions taking part in Festivals, and México.
From October, 2015 ​the company continued touring in Europe, participating in theater
festivals in Romania and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and with performances in Poland
and Paris. In December​ they arrived in Tunisia, North Africa and toured the country for
3 months.
In March, 2016​ the tour continued in Morocco where, for 2 months Mandragora Circus
was presented in Theatre Festival and Cultural Centers around the country.
From May, 2016​ Mandragora Circus will be showcased in South Africa and then then
tour will continue to Kenya and Ethiopia.
